Well, we have just returned from our annual beach trip to Ocean Isle, NC. We go with my high school friend, Kelly Betsill and her family. We share a house with Kelly's family and a babysitter. Two other families, the Scotts and the Hughes' go as well and share a house with a babysitter. All of the families get together on the beach every morning and watch the kids (9 in all) play in the surf and sand. We have been going to OIB for the past 4 years and have a great time! Kelly has a little boy, Brett who is 8 and a little girl, Bayley who is 4 so they are the perfect playmates for Will and Meredith. As mentioned earlier, both houses take a babysitter so the adults can go out to eat dinner at night. It's always a lot of fun! Each year the moms plan a group picture with all of the kids. It's been fun to see how much the children have changed since last year!
Will's favorite thing to do on the beach is boogie board! He spends hours in the water "surfing"! Meredith loves to play in the sand and jump the waves. They both also enjoy taking walks to the end of the island and hunting for seashells.
We had such a great time and are looking forward to returning next year!
